Biography

Discover Dr. James P. Malone, a board-certified otolaryngologist with expertise in head and neck tumors, thyroid and parathyroid surgery, and reconstructive surgery. Dr. Malone performs Transoral Robotic Surgery (TORS) using the daVinci system for head and neck cancer and sleep apnea. Awards & Research

Prior to joining AOP, Inc. in November 2012, Dr. Malone was Assistant Professor of Surgery, Associate Residency Program Director, and later, the Residency Program Director for the Division of Otolaryngology at the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine where he received numerous awards including Excellence in Resident Teaching and Excellence in Clinical Practice. He has also been named to “Best Doctors in America” in 2010-2011 and 2011-2012.

Dr. Malone is a member of several national organizations including the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery, the American Head and Neck Society, the American College of Surgeons, the Radiation Therapy Oncology Group, and the Pennsylvania Medical Society. He was also on the Oncology Committee at the St. John’s Hospital and serves as board member for the Ball-Chatham Educational Foundation.
